Nicholas La Gamma, MD, FACS, FASCRS earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Loyola University in Maryland.  He then earned his MD at New York Medical College.  He completed his residency in General Surgery at NY Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center.  Following residency he completed a research year in The Minimally Invasive New Technology Lab at Weill Cornell Medical Center.  He then went on to complete his fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Northwell Health.  His clinical focus is in treating diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus via minimally invasive techniques, including robotic surgery and Advanced Endoscopy. Dr. La Gamma is also very involved in the Northwell Health General Surgery Residency Program, holding a position on the Clinical Competency Committee.  Additionally, Dr. La Gamma’s  areas of interest include , medical education, and Quality Improvement.
