John Peter Ricci, MD has joined the full-time faculty in the Department of Surgery – Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. After receiving his B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University in New York, Dr. Ricci was awarded his M.D. for New Jersey Medical School, Univ. of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his residency in General Surgery at New York University Medical Center and a Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at University of Illinois/Stroger Cook County Hospital.

Dr. Ricci’s area of specialization and interest include inflammatory bowel disease, colon and rectal carcinoma, benign anal/rectal pathology, pelvic floor disorders, laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery and complex endoscopy.
